HERMLEIGH, Texas — Friday’s first practice in pads saw a great turnout from the community as the Cardinals held their annual Midnight Madness practice.

After the extreme heat they have experienced during the first week of workouts, the Cardinals got a bit of a break from the high temps with the first contact workout allowed at 12:01am Friday. With several newcomers and a new head coach, the practice gave a large portion of the small community of Hermleigh an opportunity to get a first glance look at the 2015 team.

The Booster Club and cheerleaders topped the night off by providing popcorn, baked goods, snow cones and drinks to the crowd that was anxious to get back into the groove of watching 6-man football.

The Midnight Madness workout kicks off the countdown for the team and community until the first scrimmage of the season that is now only one week away.

First Scrimmage
Friday, Aug. 14th in Grady at 6pm
