Basketball Heads to Avoca This Week

HERMLEIGH, Texas — The Hermleigh Cardinals and Lady Cardinals will travel to Avoca today to take on Lueders-Avoca at 5pm. The JV boys will tipoff first before the varsity girls and varsity boys play. Later in the week on Thursday, the varsity teams will again head to Avoca to take part in the Lueders-Avoca tournament.

Softball Picks Up Tournament Wins

ROTAN, Texas — The Lady Cardinals picked up a pair of wins at the Rotan Lady Hammers Classic on Thursday. Hermleigh opened the day with a 7-6 come-from-behind win over Anson, scoring four runs in the bottom of the last inning as time expired. In the second game, the Lady Cardinals fell to Ralls 11-3.
